Long Night of Museums 2023
Bauhaus Sound Experiments
26 August 2023 at the temporary bauhaus-archiv
Over 70 cultural institutions in Berlin will be opening their doors again in 2023 to present audiences with surprising insights during the Long Night of Museums. This event is unlike any normal daytime museum programme. The Bauhaus-Archiv invites you to an open stage where you can artistically engage with the Bauhaus, the 1920s and modernism. Join us on this creative journey and experience an evening full of sound, language and music!
We kick off the Long Night of Museums with a special edition of our bauhaus_lab workshop series, during which you can build and play your own musical instruments. Afterwards, we embark on a musical journey – from expression to experiment, from human to machine to modernism. The Kubik Kollektiv, comprised of Ralf Merten, Alex Matwijuck, Max Mahlert and Jan Hennig a.k.a. Kabuki, will provide musical accompaniment throughout the evening. Inspired by the Bauhaus, the group formed a few years ago and have since devoted themselves to translating the history and legacy of the Bauhaus into contemporary music.
You can reserve tickets for the event on the website of Kulturprojekte Berlin.
